Since the last week, we’ve been seeing rumors pointing to the release of the iQOO Z series in India. The first reports also suggested that the iQOO Z3 will be the first smartphone to come to India under this lineup. Today, we got a pretty good confirmation about this fact. iQOO India has just confirmed that its upcoming iQOO smartphone will be the first Snapdragon 768G powered smartphone to reach the country. If you recall, the iQOO Z3 which went official in China in March boasts this very same chipset, which curiously, isn’t so easy to find on smartphones.

According to the reports, the iQOO Z3 5G will come to India in mid-June. In addition to the chipset reveal, iQOO India has also revealed that the upcoming iQOO Smartphone will be an Amazon exclusive. Once again Amazon and Flipkart are fighting for the exclusivity of new smartphones, this time around, Amazon has taken the lead when it comes to selling iQOO devices.

In addition to the Octa-Core chipset the new smartphone comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256 UFS 2.2 storage. The Chinese variant runs Android 11-based iQOO UI. The handset comes with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 55 W fast-charging support.  The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Type-C charging port. According to rumors, the company will sell it for around INR 25,000 in India.
