Like we all expect, there will be a preponderance of foldable smartphones this year. In the first half of this year, we have already welcomed the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold and Huawei Mate X2. We expect more foldable smartphones in the second half of the year. We expect the likes of Xiaomi to launch the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold2. According to reports out of China, the supply chain information shows that Samsung, Google, Oppo, Xiaomi, and Vivo will all launch their own foldable smartphone. Samsung Electronics’ new Galaxy Fold3 will probably be the world’s first under-screen camera foldable smartphone. It will use a new on-screen camera solution from Samsung.
For Google, its new foldable smartphone will adopt an in-folding solution. This device will use Samsung’s 7.6-inch screen and may arrive sometime around October. Xiaomi’s first attempt at the foldable smartphone was not bad at all. The MIX Fold was released back in April and the device has been doing well. Considering the performance of the MIX Fold, it’s obvious that the company will not stop at the MIX Fold.
