Honor 50 SE to use a center punch-hole LCD screen & Dimensity 900 SoC

In a few hour’s time, Honor will hold the Honor 50 press conference where it will unveil the Honor 50 series. This series will have the Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, and Honor 50 SE. Furthermore, there are reports that the company will also unveil a new generation of Honor wireless earphones and other new products. After the appearance of the Honor 50 and 50 SE on Geekbench, we now have a set of official renders of the Honor 50 SE.

Honor 50 SE

The Honor 50 SE will come with a 6.78-inch center punch-hole LCD screen. On the rear, this device will boast a triple camera setup. Overall, the appearance of the Honor 50 SE is not much different from the Honor 50. In addition, @DCS, the leakster claims that the Honor 50 SE will come with MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. This is the same information on the recent Geekbnench listing. Furthermore, this device will use a 100 or 108 MP main camera and will support a 66W fast charge.

Honor 50 SE

The Dimensity 900 uses the same TSMC 6nm process as the top flagship Dimensity 1200/1100. This means that the chip is better than the 7nm process chips and has more advantages in terms of performance and power consumption. Furthermore, the Dimensity 900 also supports a new generation of LPDDR5 memory for the first time. This chip is also compatible with LPDDR4X, both of which are dual-channel. It supports the flagship UFS 3.1 storage and is compatible with UFS 2.2. In terms of screen refresh rate, the processor supports up to 120Hz and a FHD+ screen resolution.

In addition, the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro will be the world’s first Snapdragon 778G smartphones. These devices are worth looking forward to. From the chip’s point of view, the positioning of the Honor 50 series is mid-range. These smartphones will be one of the high-end mid-range smartphones in the market.

Just like the Honor 50 SE, the Honor 50 also uses a center punch-hole display. However, the Honor 50’s display is curved while the Honor 50 SE uses a straight display. The Honor 50 Pro comes with a left-side dual punch-hole curved screen. Both rear cameras use dual-ring lens modules.

In terms of colour matching, judging from the previously exposed Honor 50 model, the series will provide four colour options. The options include snow crystal, green, summer amber, and bright black. At present, the Honor 50 series has been officially launched on the official website, JD.com, Tmall, and Suning platforms, and opened an appointment.
