When Vivo announced the Vivo V21 5G in India, the Vivo V21e variant was missing. Now, the company is gearing up to introduce the Vivo V21e 5G for all customers needing a more affordable option to enter the 5G segment. Earlier this week, the company revealed the launch date via a social media post. However, it took the post down a couple of hours after it. Vivo V21e 5G specifications
The Vivo V21e 5G is a new variant for the family. The new smartphone already passed through the Geekbench benchmark website. The popular benchmarking platform reveals that the upcoming V-series smartphone will pack an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset under the hood. For those unaware, this is MediaTek’s entry-level 5G offering being used by a wide amount of smartphones nowadays. It packs two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz plus six ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The phone will pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage. Interestingly, it comes with Vivo’s extended RAM feature, allowing the software to pick 3GB of your internal storage and use it as swap memory.
The Vivo V21e will also flaunt a 6.44-inch display with FHD+ resolution. Just like other Vivo smartphones in the premium mid-range segment, the Vivo V21e 5G will sport an AMOLED display. The handset has a 32MP front shooter, but at the moment it’s unclear if it will use a waterdrop notch design or a punch-hole one.
Moving around to the back, the device will come with a dual-rear camera setup. It’s not common to see dual-camera setups nowadays, but at least we have two useful cameras rather than a lot of units that you’ll never use. The device will pack a primary 64MP shooter and an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera.
The device runs Android 11-based FuntouchOS 11. It will draw its powers from a 4,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. Just like the other Vivo V21 smartphones, the V21e 5G will likely sport a very thin profile.
