According to recent reports, Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. applied for the registration of the Flyme For Car trademark on June 4. The international classification involves 42 types of design research. Does this mean that a Meizu Car is on the way? In recent times, several smartphone manufacturers have entered the smart car business. The likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and others will enter this market. Will Meizu follow? Probably, yes.
Presently, the trademark status is in the process of registration. According to reports, Flyme For Car is a smart vehicle system. Meizu announced the launch of the Flyme For Car in-vehicle system in March this year. At the time, the company said that the system is under orderly development but since then, there have been no reports.
Gizchina News of the week
At present, we do not have more information about the Meizu Flyme For Car in-vehicle system. Also, there is no information about a possible smart car from the company. However, the recent trademark registration shows that Meizu’s in-vehicle system is still on the road.
There are reports that a couple of cars will enter the Flyme ecosystem. This means that some smart cars will come with Flyme For Cars. However, there is no mention if these cars will be from Meizu itself. Of course, we expect Flyme For Car to be very similar to Huawei HiCar as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
