Infinix Zero X: 160W fast-charging, 50W wireless charging, AMOLED display in tow

Infinix Zero X

Back in the last week, we saw the rise of a new mysterious smartphone from Infinix. The device appeared through leaked renders showing a curved bezel-less screen, a huge camera on the back, and a big bold “NOW” logo covering the entire black. More than that, we also saw very promising details about the mysterious device such as that it would arrive as the world’s first smartphone with 160W fast charging. Today, we got more details about this mysterious smartphone from the very reliable tipster Ice Universe. According to our favorite cat leakster, the device will hit the market with Infinix Zero X and it really comes with 160W fast charging.

The Infinix Zero 8 was one of the most promising smartphones ever launched by Infinix. In fact, this device was Transsion Holding’s direct effort to make Infinix’s name relevant across global markets. We can say that the device got quite some attention during the last year. Now, the company seems to be preparing a new contender for the Zero series and it is really promising.

Gizchina News of the week

Infinix Zero X – 160W fast-charging, In-display fingerprint scanner, OLED display and more

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Infinix Zero X will arrive with a curved display featuring minimalistic bezels and big curves. Due to these curves, we can expect no less than an OLED display. This fact is further confirmed by the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device’s big back camera is a 108MP shooter, but it will also feature a secondary camera probably for ultra-wide angle shots and a periscope unit for super zooming capabilities. Of course, one of the most promising specs in this handset is its 160W fast-wired charging. Now, the report further states that the device will also pack 50W wireless charging capabilities. Looking at this package of specs, we do not doubt that the Infinix Zero X is aiming at the high-end segment.

The other details such as display size, hardware specifications, and battery capacity are unknown as of now. We believe that the device will have at least a 4,500mAh battery split in two cells. After all, we can’t imagine a single battery withstanding such fast-charging tech. In terms of software, the device will likely come with Android 11 and HiOS on top. In terms of hardware, it’s really hard to say right now. Most Infinix smartphones have been relying on MediaTek chipsets. The Infinix Zero could use the Dimensity 1200 or 1100 since both are MediaTek’s highest offerings right now. But it also serves as a good opportunity for the company to start a partnership with Qualcomm.

For now, we should wait for more details, but it’s nice to see that this device is really materializing.
