Redmi prepares its smartphone with a sub-screen camera

According to some insiders, soon we should see smartphones with cameras under the surface of the display. This year Samsung and Xiaomi should present their solutions. Moreover, according to them, the sub-screen camera will be awarded not only to the flagship Xiaomi Mi Mix 4; but also to a device under the Redmi brand.

True, its debut is should take place next year; and among its characteristics they mention a 6.7-inch FullHD + display with an increased refresh rate. Perhaps we are talking about Redmi K50 or Redmi K50 Pro.

The most logical and visually pleasing solution is to build a front-facing camera under the display. But from an idea to creating a truly adequate solution is a long way. Its manufacturers have been going on for several years and there is only one commercial device with a sub-screen front on the market. We are talking about the ZTE Axon 20, which turned out to be crude and far from ideal in terms of the quality of the photos created on the front module.
