When will MIUI 13 be released? Information from a Xiaomi representative

MIUI 13

Xiaomi is planning to launch its first smartphone with a sub-screen camera this year. It should be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and it would be nice to provide it with a truly new firmware. Moreover, work on MIUI 13 is already at the final stage. But when should you expect the announcement of the new version of the shell and the smartphone with a subscreen camera?

According to one of the top managers of Xiaomi, the new version of MIUI 13 is undergoing internal testing and may debut in August this year. The company still does not announce the exact date of the MIUI 13 premiere. It also does not give comments on the topic of future transformations and changes in the proprietary firmware.

Considering that MIUI 13 is on the way and its release is scheduled for August, then the announcement of Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should be expected. It should be a truly flagship device that will offer an OLED display with an increased refresh rate, a 5000 mAh battery, fast 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The camera should not pump up here either, and according to most parameters, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should be technically ultimate.

Naturally, the announcement of MIUI 13 does not mean that the update will soon appear on the company’s smartphones. The deployment will take place in stages (as a rule, slowly) and the Chinese versions of smartphones will receive priority; and much later the update will reach devices on the global market. It is expected that all models that have been released in the past two years will be able to upgrade to MIUI 13.

Android 12

Google launched the first beta of Android 12 at a Google I / O event last month. Then, the developers have access to the second test version of the operating system. In it, Google has continued to improve the user experience and user interface of Android 12.

One of the main changes was the replacement of the “Wi-Fi” button in the quick settings panel; with the “Internet” button. By clicking on it; the user will be able to activate the Wi-Fi connection, select another network or switch to using cellular data. Dual SIM device owners will also have the option to change their preferred carrier.

Another change is related to the privacy control panel. It will now provide users with a user-friendly interface to track which applications are using their personal data and how. The function will also allow users to find out for what purpose the software has requested access to their personal information. However, for the new feature to work, app developers will need to follow Google’s guidelines.

Now in Android 12, similar to iOS 14; the device’s microphone and camera activity indicators will be displayed when they are activated by applications. The system will also inform users about applications’ requests to access the clipboard.
