Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will reach India in early July

Mi 11 Ultra

At the end of March, Xiaomi unveiled its “true 2021” flagships in Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. While both are flagships based on the Snapdragon 888 platform, the latter also is the company’s most ambitious smartphone to date (Except for the Mi MIX Alpha, of course). The device reached China in April and so far Indian customers have been eagerly waiting for it. Today, a fresh report comes to finally bring hope for Mi fans in India. After two months, the Mi 11 Ultra will finally go on sale in the country in early July.

According to reports, the Mi 11 Ultra will reach India only in the variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. It will cost INR 69,999 (~$942). Xiaomi is yet to confirm the launch date, ut a new report from India Today Tech states that Mi Homes have started registering customers’ interest and will reach out to them starting in the first week of July. The report further reveals that the customers don’t need to pay any amount while registering their interest.

Mi 11 Ultra specifications

To recap the Mi 11 Ultra specifications, let’s start with the display. The handset features a large 6.81-inch Quad-Curved E4 AMOLED display with a 3,200 x 1,440-pixel resolution, and a whopping 515 ppi density. If the resolution isn’t impressive alone, this pane also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has up to 1,700 nits of brightness. The display on the handset also houses a punch-hole notch on the top-left corner. It also has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The most intriguing detail is a tiny 1.1-inch AMOLED display that sits inside the huge camera island. It has a 294 x 126 pixels resolution and offers 450 nits brightness.

Under the hood, we have the almighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC built on a 5 nm fabrication process. The graphics tasks are taken care of by the Adreno 660 GPU. The handset has 12 GB of LPPDR5 RAM, and 256 UFS 2.1 storage in India. It boots Android 11-based MIUI 12 straight out of the box. Let’s hope the new version comes already updated with MIUI 12.5.

In terms of optics, the smartphone houses a big rectangular module on the rear. Besides the secondary display, it has an impressive triple-camera setup. The primary module is a 50 MP ISOCELL GN2 sensor, the secondary camera is a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and finally, we have a 48 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Moving around to the front, it has a 20 MP camera for selfies.

The Mi 11 Ultra draws powers from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast-charging. The handset also sports up to 67W fast wireless charging. Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

We expect a confirmation from Xiaomi in the coming days.
