Samsung is gearing up to introduce a new Galaxy F-series smartphone in India. So far, the Galaxy F smartphones aren’t the Samsung lineup that brings more smartphones every year. Still, Samsung is there every quarter with timely launches. The approach of this lineup is to offer good smartphones for young people with decent cameras and specs. So far, the Samsung Galaxy F22 will be the company’s fourth smartphone under the F-series this year after the launch of the Galaxy F62, F12, and F02S.
Samsung will reveal the new smartphone in India on July 6. The company has also revealed some of the key specifications of the device. It is expected to hit the market under INR 15,000 ($208) in India.
Samsung Galaxy F22 specifications
In addition to the launch confirmation, Samsung also confirmed some of the key specifications of the handset. The Galaxy F22 is live on Flipkart’s microsite and will come with a huge 6,000mAh battery under the hood. Unfortunately, there is no info regarding fast-charging technology. However, we can expect it to have support for 15W fast-charging at least.

The Flipkart microsite also reveals that the Galaxy F22 will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. The device will come with a 90 Hz refresh rate, but it’s a standard HD+ panel with 1400 x 720 pixels. The device has a tiny waterdrop notch on the top and a slightly thick chin bezel. Moving to the back, the device has a Quad-Camera setup inside a square-shaped module. The handset will come with a 48 MP primary camera sensor. The other three camera sensors will feature an 8 MP ultrawide sensor and two 2 MP sensors for depth and macro.
Samsung is yet to officially reveal the performance until details. The smartphone was spotted on the Google Play Console website. According to the listing, on the Google Play Console. The smartphone will feature a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. For those unaware, this is an octa-core chip based on a 12 nm architecture. It packs two ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. It will also count with 4 GB of RAM. The device runs Android 11 straight out of the box and will come with One UI 3.0.
The Galaxy F22 will be priced under $208 and we do hope it is way below this mark. After all, the Helio G80 SoC and the HD+ display prove that it’s not on par with offerings in the $200 territory.
