Next month, Samsung will showcase its next generation of foldable devices along with improved wearables. When it comes to wearable, the chaebol has three different items up its sleeves. We’re talking about the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and Galaxy Buds 2. With the official launch month nearing, we’ve been hearing more and more about these new accessories. We now have the very first video of the Classic iteration of the smartwatch.

Revealed by the popular leakster Evan Blass (a.k.a. @evleaks), the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will arrive in three different color options – Black, Silver, and White. As you can see in the 360-degree render video, the wearable features a circular Super AMOLED display with two buttons on the right side. The left side, on the other hand, remains clean as a slate. The Classic version of the smartwatch does come with the good ol’ rotating bezel. It appears to also features removable silicone straps.
If you look closely, you’ll notice a black case in the black version while a silver case in the remaining two color variants. Just like the previous iterations, we’re also going to see LTE variants as well. Sadly, the render doesn’t reveal anything else about the smartwatch. Since we’re moving closer to the month of August, we should expect more leaks surrounding the Classic and the original version. Well, of course, make sure to keep you guys updated whenever that happens.
Here’s what you can expect from the Classic wearable!
One of the major changes between the new and old iterations is the operating system running underneath. The future Galaxy Watches will run on WearOS instead of the traditional TizenOS. It’s going to be a major change as it will allow users to use a variety of wearable apps that they were earlier limited to. With that said, we should expect faster performance, a smoother user interface, access to a vast library of apps and watch faces, and much more.
We should see all the usual sensors such as accelerometer, barometer, GPS, gyro, heart-rate monitor, and sleep tracking. SpO2 measurement is getting quite popular nowadays so expect to see that as well. Of course, we will see IP68 rating meaning dust and water resistance. Other features include NFC, loudspeaker, microphone, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 247mAh battery packed inside.
With that said, we are quite excited about the new iterations of wearables and are eagerly waiting to explore the new operating system.
