It was believed that the boom of tablets is long over and the share of these devices is inexorably collapsing amid the growing demand for smartphones. But the pandemic and self-isolation led to the fact that users again paid attention to this segment of electronics and sales confidently crawled upward. This was the reason that old players returned to this market and new manufacturing companies are trying to penetrate.
OnePlus is among those who can master the release of a new product for themselves. The fact that it is preparing to release a tablet is evidenced by information from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). In particular, the ONEPLUS PAD trademark was registered there. It is not difficult to guess that we are talking about a tablet PC. There is no information about the characteristics of the new device.
OnePlus isn’t the only brand from the big BBK family to have a tablet in mind. The tablet may appear in the portfolio of Vivo, Oppo and Realme. Given the convergence of Oppo and OnePlus, there is a chance that we will see the same tablet with minimal differences in design and specifications, but under different brands. We do not yet know when to wait for the release of the new devices.
