When posting something on social media, you should be very attentive because it may cost you job. But thanks to TikTok, it can now be quite beneficial too. Well, we are not saying that when you post something, it will attract employers (though for LinkedIn, it can work). But we want to inform you that TikTok launched a new pilot program this week, which should help users looking for jobs and vice versa. We mean companies can also use this program when looking for candidates. The so-called “TikTok resumes” program helps users to search job openings. They just have to record a video with hashtag #TikTokResumes on the app. After, they have to submit a job application on TikTokResumes.com with a link to their video resume.

In fact, more than 10 major brands are already participating in this program. Among them, we can mention Chipotle, Great Clips, Roti, Shopify, and Target. Moreover, as for the vacancies related to sports, there are employers such as NASCAR, WWE, and even the Detroit Pistons.
“TikTok Resumes is officially open and accepting TikTok video resumes,” said Nick Tran, Global Head of Marketing at TikTok, in a statement on Wednesday on the company’s website. “We’re humbled to be able to partner with some of the world’s most admired and emerging brands as we pilot a new way for job seekers to showcase their experiences and skillsets in creative and authentic ways.”

If you still doubt whether this program works, you can search #TikTokResumes on TikTok and take a look at other candidates. Of course, some TikTokers just joke. But you can also find serious video-resumes that will not only inspire you but also give new ideas.

However, there is a very important information you should be aware of – the pilot program ends on July 31st. Thus, starting August 1, you won’t be able to submit resumes on TikTok. We guess if the “TikTok Resumes” program succeeds, the company will bring it back. But as there is no official statement on this, it’s better to hurry up.
No matter will you apply for a job through TikTok or not, but you should admit that The traditional resume hasn’t changed much over the years. So in this sense, TikTok’s new program looks quite attractive and amazing. So why not to try?
