Samsung will not release any smartphone in the Note series, however, the company is now concentrating on its foldable lineup. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 appeared on TENAA. The certification comes with what this smartphone will look like in China. However, it is most unlikely that this device globally will be any different. According to @DCS, the Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with a Snapdragon 888 flagship processor. Furthermore, this smartphone will come with a 6.2-inch as well as a 7.5-inch dual display.
According to the battery certification, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Chinese version will have a 4500 mAh battery. Furthermore, this battery will also support 25W fast charging. Samsung’s mid-year Galaxy Unpacked conference was exposed before now. The South Korean manufacturer will unveil a series of new products at the conference. We expect the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4 on August 11. Nevertheless, the launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 remains uncertain. As for the price, @DCS speculates that this foldable smartphone may cost over 15,000 yuan ($2,316).
Gizchina News of the week
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with the iconic S Pen of the Note series. This will be the first time that a foldable smartphone will come with S Pen support. As for its official launch date, there is no information for now.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 display will support a special scratch resistance
According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 may come with the “Armor Layer”. This is only a speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt. Actually, Samsung only just applied for the trademark of this device. In addition to the “Armor Layer”, the company also applied for other trademarks like Armor Skin and Armor Frame. Presumably, the “Armor Layer” will support a special scratch resistance. The name sounds like a protective layer for foldable screens. This will allow users to use the S-Pen on the foldable smartphone without any scratch. If Samsung will use these trademarks, it will likely be for a flagship device. As of now, there is no Galaxy Note on the way. Most likely, we will not have a Galaxy Note smartphone this year. This leaves the Galaxy Z Fold 3 as the most viable option for this technology. We will have to wait for the official launch of this device and see whether or not it will use this technology.
