Google’s first processor to offer graphics from AMD

Pixel 5

According to insider data, Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be the first smartphones of the company to receive a system on a chip of its own design, codenamed Whitechapel. A mention of this chipset was found in the firmware code of the Android Open-Source Project. We also know that Google is creating the chip in cooperation with Samsung.

Based on who is Google’s partner in the birth of the proprietary chip; it was not difficult to guess that they would take some kind of Exynos SoC as a basis and adapt it to the requirements of the search giant. In particular, special emphasis will be on artificial intelligence, algorithms and image processing mechanisms.

Most likely, this will happen, and there is a possibility that something else will be sculpted on the basis of the new top processor Exynos 2200. The latest rumors speak in favor of this that a new chip from Google will offer AMD graphics. Recall that Samsung and AMD do not hide the fact that they are jointly creating a flagship mobile processor ;with powerful graphics.

According to preliminary information, the Exynos 2200 will outperform Snapdragon 895 and Apple A15 Bionic in terms of graphics performance. But in terms of processing power, the new Apple SoC will surpass all competitors.
