When it comes to fast charging technology, Chinese manufacturers are clearly ahead. As of now, 120W / 100W fast charging capacity is already in mass production in the Android camp. In fact, there are already speculations of a 200W fast-charging capacity. However, for iPhones, the highest charging capacity is only 20W. According to reports from Apple’s supply chain, some models of the iPhone 13 series may increase the fast charging power to 25W. This is still a far cry from what is currently in the market. However, it is an upgrade for Apple fanboys.
The fast charging head currently on sale on Apple’s official website is 20W, and the charging speed is minimal compared to the previous 18W fast charging head. Although Apple has increased the charging power to 25W this time, the charging speed should not change much.
It is important to note that users still need to purchase the new generation of fast charging heads separately. According to Apple, this is necessary for “environmental protection”.
On Apple’s official website, the 18W charging head has been taken off the shelf. The price of the 20W charging head is over $20. If the 25W charging head is added, the price is likely to be higher than $25.

iPhone 13 series tentative launch date
There have been several rumors regarding the launch date for the iPhone 13 series. However, the latest of these from @LeaksApplePro claims that these devices will arrive on September 14th. Considering the time difference, the launch event should be on the early morning of September 15th in China. The pre-order of this smartphone will start on September 17th while shipping will commence on September 24th.
In terms of design, the iPhone 13 is expected to inherit the ID style of the iPhone 12 series. The middle frame still adopts a right-angle design, but the front screen has ushered in the biggest change in four years, adopting a new “small (short) notch” scheme. The changes on the back are mainly on the camera module, and the rear dual camera has been changed from a vertical arrangement to a diagonal arrangement. In addition, the Pro iPhone should come with a LiDAR sensor. The highest storage capacity may be 1TB. Other aspects such as battery and baseband will also upgrade to a certain extent. However, these new iPhone 13 series should have the same starting price as the iPhone 12 series.
Of course, the iPhone 13 series will come with the new Bionic A15 chip. Furthermore, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate screen. With the introduction of LTPO screens, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone Pro Max battery life will increase significantly.
