Poco launched the much-awaited F3 GT in India on July 23, and it comes loaded with amazing features and top-notch specs. The accurately priced smartphone could give the OnePlus Nord 2 a run for its money. The new Poco F-series phone is teeming with awe-inspiring features and packs top-notch specs, just like the brand’s flagship killer, Poco F1.

Moreover, the Poco F3 GT carries an affordable price tag, like the F1. The Xiaomi sub-brand did not announce a new device in 2019 but made its comeback as an independent company in 2020. Furthermore, the brand launched the Poco F2 Pro and the Poco F3 worldwide, these devices did not see the light of day in the Indian markets.

The F2 Pro is the rebranded Redmi K30. The F3, on the other hand, is simply rebranded Redmi K40. While the aforesaid devices were not made available in India, Poco launched the first F-series phone in the country on Friday. The F3 GT is the first device in the F-series after the Poco F1. The F3 GT is a rebadged Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was announced in China earlier this year.

The phone boasts a myriad of gaming features. For instance, it offers a high refresh rate, high touch sampling rate, and comes with dedicated shoulder triggers, as well as an AMOLED display.

The F3 GT sports a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, 10bit colors, 500nits brightness. It has Gorilla Glass 5 on top and a fingerprint scanner on the side for additional security. The Dimensity 1200 processor delivers superior mobile experience. It will ship with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Furthermore, a 5,065mAh battery keeps the phone powered up. This cell offers 67W fast charging support, USB PD 3.0, and Quick Charge 3.0. The F3 GT has mechanical gaming trigger buttons, and it features an X-linear motor that delivers in-game vibrations. Aside from that, it features a heat dissipation system with graphene, graphite, and a vapor chamber. RGB lighting encompasses the rear-mounted camera setup.

The phone houses a 16MP selfie camera. There’s a 64MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.65, an 8MP super-wide lens that offers 120-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro camera. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers a USB-C, IR blaster, dual-frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 5G, and dual SIM support. There’s no 3.5mm audio jack on the phone. However, the phone features JBL powered stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos.

The Poco F3 GT will set you back INR 26,999 (about $362) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM model, per LiveMint. The 8GB RAM+128GB ROM model carries an INR 28,999 (about $390) price tag. The top variant ships with 8GB of RAM and offers 256GB of onboard storage. It will retail for INR 30,999 (about $416). Moreover, the phone will go up for sale for a lowered price for the first two weeks of sale. You can choose between Gunmetal Silver and Predator Black color options.
