Samsung already confirmed the arrival of its next batch of foldable smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 will be the company’s second half-year flagships. Although the foldable display is something that puts these devices aside from what we get from the “standard” flagship industry, we’re always expecting advancements in more aspects. Unfortunately, not everything will be an advancement on the Galaxy Z Flip3. As per the reliable tipster IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Flip3 will come with very slow 15W charging.
It’s crazy to think how Samsung is behind its competitors when it comes to charging tech. While other companies are continuously exploring the fast-charging technology, Samsung is shielding away. This year we saw smartphones breaking the 100W barrier, and in a couple of months, we’ll see smartphones going up to 160W charging. Xiaomi, for example, already is developing a technology that promises astonishing 200W charging. Meanwhile, Samsung’s super-expensive smartphone will charge slower than some mid-range smartphones in the industry. For a quick comparison, the recently released Galaxy A22 5G comes with 15W charging as a standard.
