Not long ago, Qualcomm officially released a new generation of flagship chip dubbed the Snapdragon 888+. As the name implies, it is way more powerful than the current Snapdragon 888. In other words, we are talking about the most powerful chip in the Android camp.
The Snapdragon 888 Plus contains one powerful Cortex-X1 core with a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz, three high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. The processor integrates an Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and the Snapdragon X60 5G modem with data transfer rates up to 7.5 Gbps.
Recently, we learned that the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 888+ onboard will come our way from a Chinese phone maker. Probably you know that it will be the iQOO 8. The latter is set to be launched on August 4.
iQOO 8 Pro: Fast Charging, Top-Level Screen And More
Today, a Weibo blogger revealed the machine’s configuration. He said that the iQOO 8 Pro will come with a top-level display in the industry. At the same time, the fast charging will also go further. In addition to the 100W wired fast charging, it will support wireless fast charging.
A few days ago, we learned that the iQOO 8 Pro may support up to 160W fast charging technology. Thus, this technology will allow the phone to fully charge in only 12 minutes. This will also refresh the charging record of mass-produced models and become the strongest fast charging model in the industry.
Gizchina News of the week
It may come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of native storage. After all, as a gaming smartphone, its biggest purpose is to impress users with its specifications. Other specifications may include a 120Hz AMOLED display (we even think it might support a 144Hz refresh rate).
In addition to the top-level screen, performance and fast charging, the iQOO 8 Pro will sport an outstanding camera system. The machine will come with an outsole main camera, and will also support a 5x zoom. The telephoto lens supports up to 60x zoom shooting. This is also the first time iQOO has introduced an ultra-telephoto lens.
On the whole, the iQOO 8 series has brought all aspects of the hardware configuration to the top position in the industry. With this move, iQOO is trying to rid of the title it has at the moment. We mean iQOO was created by VIVO to implement its long-though dual-brand strategy. Generally, it was VIVO’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi, Huawei’ Honor and OPPO’s Realme. But as any brand dreams, iQOO is getting more and more independence. And if it entered the market as a cost-effective smartphone brand, now, it is going to release a true flagship phone.
