Carl Pei was one of the minds behind OnePlus success. From the original OnePlus One to the OnePlus 8T the executive was one of the minds behind the trending company. However, late last year, he announced his exit from the company to venture into unexplored seas. Now, we can understand that this movie probably had something to do with the recent merge where OnePlus is walking to become an Oppo sub-brand. Pei decided to launch a new company focused on lifestyle, TWS, and wearable related technology. In the future, we may even see Nothing smartphones as the brand has acquired Essential, the company behind the Essential Phone. That may take a while, but for everyone that is expecting a new product, Nothing is gearing up to unveil the Nothing ear (1) earbuds in the next week.
The Nothing ear (1) earbuds will be announced as soon as next week. The new TWS earbuds will be the first product to come from Nothing Inc. Ahead of the launch, the company has published its companion application on the Google Play Store. This is a common behavior for certain companies.
Gizchina News of the week
The application will come loaded with useful features
The application is listed as the “ear (1) – Nothing earbuds”. It has just 10 MB in size. According to the app’s description, it is compatible with devices running Android 5.0 and above. Through the application, Nothing ear (1) users will be able to check the battery level of the earbuds as well as the case’s battery level. The application also offers a menu to turn on and turn off certain features. It includes the possibility to turn on Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes, and also allows you to adjust the intensity. The app also offers an option to activate in-ear detection, turn/off gesture on the earbuds, switch equalizer, and a find my device feature. Users will also be able to update the firmware of the earbuds through the application.
Nothing has revealed the design of its case last week. The new case brings a transparent design just like the new earbuds. It will come with USB-C type charging but will also offer wireless charging. As far as the earbuds are concerned, they will have a price tag of $99 and will come with premium features such as Active Noise Cancellation. Nothing promises 32 hours of battery life (with the case), fast wired charging, and more.
We are curious to see how Nothing’s first product will perform. Its success will dictate the company’s future in the tech industry.
