However, the Cupertino-based giant’s CEO, Tim Cook, reportedly declined to arrange a meeting to discuss the offer.
The disclosure of the attempted sale was made by Musk, on his official Twitter profile, after the billionaire was asked by a BBC network reporter about another related story, that he wanted to be Apple’s CEO. According to the report, Elon claims he never got to talk to or write to Tim Cook. But the billionaire says he asked for a meeting with Apple’s CEO to talk about a possible takeover of Tesla by Apple.
