Realme started its journey as a lineup of Oppo smartphones. Due to its popularity, this lineup quickly evolved into a sub-brand. However, the sub-brand needed its own wings to fly as a separate company. Since the last year, Realme has been making its name across the world as an independent brand. The company still has smartphones as its core product, however, it now acts in many segments. The list of Realme products includes smartwatches, TWS earphones, and even smart TVs. Now, the company is prepping up to release its very first laptop and tablet. The first will carry the Realme Book moniker, while the latter will go as Realme Pad.
Realme has been building hype for its upcoming products for a long time now. The company confirmed their existence through a set of teasers, but so far, didn’t specify a launch date for any of them. We already know how the Realme Pad will look like thanks to previously leaked renders. Now, however, we’re getting a better picture from OnLeaks. The renowned tipster provides more detailed renders that show the device in more detail and both of its official colorways.
The new tablet will come in Grey and Gold colorways (Where else I saw these colors before?). The device’s casing is confirmed to be made out of aluminum. Interestingly, the leaked renders also confirm the rumored stylus slot near the bottom speakers and USB-C port. Could this stylus be just a stylus, or is Realme preparing something smarter like Samsung does with its S-Pen?

Realme Pad rumored specifications
In terms of specifications, the Realme Pad will pack a 10.4-inch display. For now, we’re assuming that the display will be an LCD panel. It also packs a selfie camera in the right-hand-size bezel. This snapper will carry an 8 MP camera with an f/2.8 aperture. This camera will have a fixed focus. The rear camera also packs an 8 MP resolution but brings auto-focus.
The Realme Pad will come with Quad Speakers, so users can expect an immersive audio experience here. Under the hood, the tablet will pack 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Internal Storage. This storage is expandable via a MicroSD card slot. For now, there is no information regarding the chipset inside this tablet. Moving on, it will pack a 7,100 mAh battery which sounds big, but may not be so big when you take in mind the size of this display. Hopefully, the tablet will come with the 65W fast-charging that has been a standard for Realme phones.
According to rumors, the Realme Pad will launch in the third quarter of this year. Since July is gone, we can expect the launch at any time between this month and September. The device will run Android 11 straight out of the box with Realme UI 2.0. Hopefully, there will be features to enhance the tablet experience.
