Google Pixel 6 / 6 Pro with the “Tensor” chip will arrive this fall

According to a recent announcement from Google, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will come with its self-developed Tensor chip. The company also officially confirmed that these smartphones will arrive this fall. This means that the Google Pixel 6 series will launch anytime from mid-September this year. Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro each have three colour schemes. From the appearance point of view, they are the same as the previously exposed renderings and the real images. They use a three-stage back design and a raised camera module. This design is unofficially called an “explosion-proof shield” by netizens.

Google Pixel 6 / Pro specifications

The Google Pixel 6 comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. However, the Pixel 6 Pro uses a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both phones have three rear cameras, but the Pixel 6 Pro has a 4x zoom telephoto lens.

From the official publicity and naming point of view, the Google Tensor chip on board should be an AI chip. This means that it can directly process AI and ML models on the phone. This will allow users to have a better camera experience, voice recognition, and other functions. The emphasis has been on voice assistant, translation, subtitles, and dictation capabilities. We expect these features to significantly improve in this device.
