Yesterday, Xiaomi executives had a “face-to-face meeting” with netizens. According to Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s new smartphone and the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will commence warm-up from today. Furthermore, he confirmed that there will be a launch event on August 11 or 12 this year. Of course, the “new smartphone” is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. This is the first time that a Xiaomi executive is confirming the arrival of these devices.
The information so far reveals that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will come with under-screen camera technology. This technology completely hides the proactive camera below the screen. This is also Xiaomi’s first mass-produced model with an under-screen proactive camera. Also, Xiaomi will be the second company globally to mass-produce this technology after ZTE.
