Apple generally releases new iPhone models in September each year. Thus, the iPhone 13 series will likely arrive next month and this making its assemblers and component manufacturers recruit a large number of employees. The production schedule of the upcoming iPhone series is very tight. For example, Foxconn hired a large number of people for the iPhone 11 in July 2019, and later spent a lot of money on the iPhone 12 in 2020. According to the latest report, Foxconn is now offering a bonus of 10,200 yuan ($1,575) to new employees who have worked for at least 90 days. This is 200 yuan ($31) more than the bonus provided by Foxconn at the end of July 2021. The employee takes about 9,500 yuan ($1,467) while the introducer gets the rest.
iPhone 13 supply chain needs to attract more workers to meet the schedule
At the same time, another foundry, Lens Technology, also increased its bonus. In February, it offered about 5,000 yuan ($772) in remuneration to new employees. However, since May, its income has increased to around 10,000 yuan ($1,544), which is similar to Foxconn.
Luxshare Precision recently received Apple’s first “iPhone 13” related order. The company is now also doubling its commission for recommending employees. For workers who return from other companies to Luxshare, it is offering a bonus of about 3,800 yuan ($587).
Gizchina News of the week
It is reported that the new iPhone 13 will be released in September.
