Xiaomi has been building a strong portfolio of laptops in the Indian market. Now, the whole community of fans is waiting for the Mi Notebook refresh in the country. To keep the hype alive, the company’s Chief Business Officer, Raghu Reddy is sharing a small teaser. Although this is a very small 6 seconds teaser, it does confirm the presence of a couple of neat features that have been eagerly awaiting confirmation.
First of all, the teaser confirms the presence of a backlit keyboard alongside an integrated webcam. Having an integrated webcam may sound like a simple feature, but it was absent in the previous generation of the laptop. It also lacked a backlit keyboard, but not all laptops had this feature in the past. Now, with competitors like Realme Book coming with both these features, it makes sense for Xiaomi to integrate them in the Mi Notebook refresh.
Mi Notebook series coming with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution
In addition to the new features, the speculations also suggest that the refresh will feature the “Mi Notebook 14 Pro” and might boast of a 15-inch display with 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. As per the report, Xiaomi is aiming at the education and work sector. However, it also wants to appeal to the gaming audiences, for that reason, the 120 Hz refresh rate will certainly be a plus. Of course, we still need to see the actual specifications to know if the new Mi Notebook will live to the expectations.
Gizchina News of the week
Today, Karthik M. S., Marketing Lead, Mi India revealed that the laptop is:
- Close to the Golden Ratio
- Best of both worlds – productivity and entertainment
- Offers 5% more vertical space compared to most laptops with a 16:9 display.
Xiaomi Fans in the country may be eagerly waiting for the refresh. But apparently, the product will not come before 2022. Xiaomi has slated its Mi Smarter Living event for 2022. We presume that’s when the Mi Notebook refresh will be unveiled with all the new specifications. As per the leaks, the lineup will also include a Mi Notebook Ultra which will sound appealing for gaming users. Apparently, this variant will come with a 15-inch display with a 3.5K resolution. It will have up to Intel Core i7 11th gen processor, 512 GB SSD, and the NVIDIA RTX 3050Ti GPU. Judging by the specifications, it will probably be the most expensive variant in the lineup.
Xiaomi will keep improving its portfolio in the Indian market, especially with the arrival of the Realme Book series.
