Xiaomi has been doing quite well in the smartphone market. Over the past few years, its MIUI system has been one of the selling points of this company. However, since the launch of MIUI 12, it has not been a bed of roses for Xiaomi. The system is plagued with a plethora of issues many of which the company has solved. However, it appears that as it solves one, another appears. Xiaomi had to subsequently release the MIUI 12.5 system which tackles most of the issues. However, many users still believe that the MIUI 12.5 did not live up to expectations. As a follow-up, Xiaomi also launched the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version and we hope that it addresses most of these issues. Recently, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro began to receive the MIUI 12.5.7.0 enhanced version system update.
MIUI 12.5 enhanced version promises significant upgrades
The MIUI 12.5 enhanced version fixes 160 system header problems and 224 system application problems. At the same time, it brings all-round optimization from the bottom frame to the upper application. The MIUI 12.5 enhanced version also supports liquid storage, which can monitor the degree of fragmentation with high sensitivity and increase the efficiency of defragmentation by 60%. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro laboratory simulation test shows that the read and write degradation is less than 5% after 36 months of use.
Furthermore, the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version adopts atomic memory, supports ultra-fine memory management, splits application memory, gives priority to ending unimportant tasks, and refines/compresses memory usage. Taking the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition as an example, the back-end residency capacity also increases by 64%.
Gizchina News of the week
The MIUI 12.5 enhanced version also adds focus computations. 51 core scenarios are smoothly and fully accelerated, prioritizing the most obvious processes perceived by current users according to scenarios and suppressing unimportant applications in the background. The multi-model real-world testing also shows an average 15% drop in CPU usage and an average 8% power savings.
