The Xiaomi Mi TV 5X has been set to launch in India during the company’s Smarter Living 2022 event which will kick off later this month. Aside from the new TV, the Chinese tech giant will be unveiling a myriad of other ecosystem products at the event. Xiaomi has been teasing some of its features in a bid to build hype surrounding these products.

The tech company will debut the Xiaomi Mi TV 5X in India during the conference. The Mi TV series was launched in the country back in 2018. Xiaomi has introduced several models with the Mi TV 4 brand in the country since then. The upcoming Mi TV 5X will finally deviate from this pattern. Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the second generation of OLED television, the Mi TV 6 in China. It also unveiled the Mi Mix 4, Mi Pad 5, and a slew of other products at the launch event.

Xiaomi Smarter Living 2022 will kick off at 12 PM IST on August 26. As mentioned earlier, a slew of amazing products such as the Mi Band 6, and the Mi Notebook laptops will grace the event. On top of that, the company has revealed that it will be launching the Mi TV 5X at the event. The new television will succeed the company’s well-received Mi TV 4X. Xiaomi India confirmed the launch of the new series of smart TVs via a tweet on August 20. Aside from that, there’s a dedicated event page that gives us a glimpse of some of the features of the Mi TV 5X.

Specifications & Features

In terms of outward appearance, the Mi TV 5X comes in a metal build and adopts a full-screen narrow-bezel design. Moreover, it features Dolby audio for a superior listening experience. According to the landing page, the “visuals are fine-tuned and responsive to your environment.” Aside from that, the site claims that the smart television will have a bright panel.

Furthermore, the company has shed light on its plan to offer a new generation of Mi Patchwall UI, coupled with a Must-See section and some carefully selected content. On top of that, it features far-field microphones for Google Assistant support. The company did not divulge details about the TV’s key specifications. However, the TV could come with “future-ready specs to stand the test of time.” Aside from that, Mi TV 5X could arrive in various options including a 55-inch model.

The company is also set to launch the Mi Notebook laptops at the event. The laptops will reportedly feature a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint sensor. They will be using a new Intel Core processor and offer an ultra-smooth refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 16:10. On top of that, they could come with a Thunderbolt port, 6.7 million pixels, and a 100% sRGB wide color gamut. The word on the street is that the upcoming laptops will be the much-awaited Mi Notebook Ultra 15 and the Mi Notebook Pro. Also, these laptops could cost a bomb.
