Five Honor smartphones are now publicly testing HarmonyOS

Huawei has been releasing the HarmonyOS update for multiple Huawei and Honor devices. The company will release this new system for a large number of smartphones. In fact, some of its very old smartphones are coming back alive with this new operating system. Although the company has sold the Honor brand, Honor smartphones released while Huawei was still in charge will still get this system. Recently, the company released this update for five Honor smartphones. These devices are currently in theĀ public beta testing stage. The five Honor smartphones are

  • Honor 30S
  • Honor 30 Youth Edition
  • Honor-X10
  • Honor X10 Max
  • Honor Play4

Generally speaking, entering the HarmonyOS public beta stage means that the system adaptation is basically in place. However, there may still be some bugs but these bugs should not affect daily use. However, users who think that these bugs are too much can easily opt-out.

In terms of other Honor models, Honor 10 and Honor V10 are recruiting in closed beta and are still accepting registrations. The Honor 9X, Honor 9X Pro, Honor 20S, and Honor Play4T Pro are in the closed beta stage, and registration has been completed. These smartphones will commenceĀ public beta recruitment in mid-September.

According to reports, as of August 6, Huawei’s HarmonyOS upgrade users exceed 50 million. The company plans to release this system for 300 million devices this year. Out of this number, 200 million will be Huawei devices while 100 million will be third-party devices. From the look of things, close to 100 million Huawei smartphones will have HarmonyOS by the end of this year.

Huawei HarmonyOS is a microkernel operating system for all scenarios. This operating system officially hit the road at the Huawei Developer Conference in Dongguan back in August 2019. The system realizes modular coupling, can be flexibly deployed corresponding to different devices and can be used for various devices such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and automobiles. It is a universal system that can connect all devices in series.
