Earlier this year, Realme unveiled its Realme Narzo 30 series in India. Rather than releasing a vanilla smartphone, the company released a Realme Narzo 30A and Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G. A couple of months later, the brand decided to bring a vanilla Realme Narzo 30 to the Indian market. However, it seems that the first two smartphones are due for an upgrade. As per rumors, Realme is skipping the Narzo 40 moniker and will go straight to the Realme Narzo 50 series. Today, a smartphone believed to be the Realme Narzo 50A leaked in a set of renders.
Realme is skipping the number 4 due to the “bad lucky” association in China. For that reason, we’ll have a Realme Narzo 30 series. Presumably, the lineup will be composed first by a Realme Narzo 50A and Narzo 50 Pro. Today, the former appeared in a set of press renders. The new leaked images come as a courtesy from 91Mobiles and leakster OnLeaks.
Realme Narzo 50A coming with a dual-tone design and a huge camera island
According to the leaked images, the Realme Narzo 50A flaunts a dual-tone design on the back. The left half of the phone has diagonal lines, whereas the right side has a smooth finish. Interestingly, the dual-tone finish was present in the Realme Narzo 30A. However, its bottom part was the one with the diagonal lines and the top portion was the one with the smooth finish. The concept is the same, but Realme is bringing some differentiation here. Another aspect where the device is completely different than its predecessor is the camera arrangement.
Gizchina News of the week
The device still packs a Triple-Camera setup, but this time there is massive housing. The camera’s black portion of the back is so big that it reaches the fingerprint scanner that is placed in the middle. It almost looks like a bad placement for the fingerprint scanner, but if you look carefully, you’ll notice that it still is in the usual placement. The only difference is that the camera island is capable of reaching this portion of the rear panel.
On the right edge, we have the power and volume buttons. The bottom edge also serves as a home for the USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the speaker grille. The display looks like the one in the Realme Narzo 30A with a waterdrop notch at the top for the selfie camera. As per the report, this is an 8 MP camera. Also, it states that the device has a 12.5 MP primary camera which will be marketed as a 13 MP unit. The other two sensors probably are two 2 MP units for macro and depth sensing.
For now, the chipset giving power to this handset remains a mystery. However, we believe that the recently released Helio G88 is a strong candidate.
