Xiaomi has just announced the RedmiBook 15 series laptops in India earlier this month. Today, the company introduced the Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra for those who need something in the premium category. These laptops have similar bodies, however, the latter has some interesting hardware that makes it stand against the Pro variant.
Mi Notebook Ultra
The Mi Notebook Ultra boasts Intel’s 11th Gen Core i7-11370H processor and offers a maximum clock speed of 4.8 GHz. There is also a less expensive version that includes the same generation i5-11300H CPU, which offers up to 4.4 GHz clock speed.
Both models will be paired with Intel’s Iris Xe graphics to handle graphically intensive tasks. The i7 variants come with a single 16 GB of RAM option. The i5 model also has a variant with 8 GB of RAM. Both variants have the same storage – 512 GB NVMe SSD.
The Mi Notebook Ultra is 17.9 mm thin, weighs around 1.7 kg, and boasts 6-series aerospace-grade aluminum. The laptop boasts a 15.6-inch display with a 3,200 x 2,000 pixels resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The device also supports DC Dimming to reduce eye fatigue, and Xiaomi claims the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light protection filters.
The laptop comes with a full-size keyboard with a 3-level backlight and offers a 70 Whr battery with 12 hours of endurance. Interestingly, it also comes with a 65W charger to refill this battery in around 90 minutes. Other features include a fingerprint reader in the power button, HD Webcam, 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in microphone, and two 2W stereo speakers with DTS Audio support.

The Mi Notebook Ultra comes with MS Office Home and Student Edition 2019. The device runs Windows 10 Home straight out of the box. Of course, it will let a free upgrade to Windows 11 when the OS is available.
Mi Notebook Pro
The Mi Notebook Pro boasts the very same materials as the Mi Notebook Ultra. However, it is thinner with 17.3 mm and lighter with 1.46 kg. The reason is the smaller 14-inch Display with 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. Just like its Ultra sibling, the Pro boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio. However, it lacks some smoothness with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.
The Mi Notebook Pro also ships with a smaller battery of 56 Whr. There is no mention of the charging capabilities, but it’s said to go from flat to 50% in just 34 minutes. The other features are basically the same as the ones offered in the Ultra.
