Some retails stores located in an unknown part of the world have indicated that the Galaxy S21 FE will be going official soon. The aforesaid retail store has displayed Galaxy S21 along with the Galaxy S21 FE 5G in what appears to be its demo area. This is quite odd since the phone hasn’t even been gone official yet. While the handset itself is not available for customers to see, this is an indication that some retailers are gearing up for the phone’s upcoming launch. The Galaxy S21 FE was originally slated to launch at the Galaxy Z Fold 3 event, but it did not make its debut citing chip shortage, according to Phone Arena.

The Galaxy S21 FE could turn out to be a big hit among Samsung fans if it has an aggressive price. On the downside, this could affect the sale of other existing Samsung smartphones including the steeply-priced phones like the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the budget ones like the Galaxy A72. Tipster Max Weinbach took to his Twitter account on August 28 to share an image of a Samsung retail store. In the image, we can see a place reserved for the Galaxy S21 FE, suggesting that it will be arriving soon in the store.

According to a tweet by leaker Mauri QHD, Samsung will take the wraps off the Galaxy S21 FE on September 8. However, details about when the phone will go on sale are still scarce. The word on the street is that the phone could release in September or October this year. This release timeframe coincides with Apple’s plan to launch its new iPhone. The Cupertino tech giant will be unveiling the new iPhone 13 lineup on September 14.

The phone’s Google Play Console listing has divulged some key specifications ahead of an official unveiling. The device could pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and an Adreno 660 GPU under the hood. Moreover, it is likely to ship with 6GB of RAM. The phone’s display could offer a full-HD+ (1,080×2,009 pixels) resolution. Furthermore, it is likely to run the Android 11 OS. The image spotted on the Google Play Console listing hints at a flat display. This display appears to feature a hole-punch cutout at the top center.

Aside from that, the Galaxy S21 FE could retain the rear camera module design of its predecessor, the Galaxy S21. The device could house three rear-mounted cameras. The bottom edge may house the USB Type-C port, the SIM tray, and the speaker grille. The volume and power buttons could occupy the right edge. On top of that, there could be an in-display fingerprint sensor. Earlier leaks also suggest that the phone will be available in White, Violet, Green, Grey, and Blue color options.
