Transsion Holdings-owned Infinix has so far focused in the mid-range segment. However, in recent months we have been seeing the company teasing a smartphone with 160 W fast charging and an impressive camera setup. The fact is that this 160W device was showcased a couple of months ago, and most recently a device with a 108 MP camera and periscope lens emerged in the web. We first thought that this device would appear in the form of an Infinix Zero X smartphone, but now we think that it’s a different device.
The Infinix Zero X series is due to be announced on September 13. However, some of the key specs have already been revealed through three Google Play Console listings. Those who have been waiting to see Infinix’s big entrance in the flagship territory will have to wait a bit longer, at least when it comes to the performance. The recent leak suggests that all Infinix Zero X smartphones will come with the MediaTek Helio G90T which is a 2019 chipset and can be found in a myriad of other Infinix smartphones.
Gizchina News of the week
Infinix Zero X, X Neo, and X Pro are coming with the very same chipset
The MediaTek Helio G90T is already an aging chip with two ARM Cortex-A76 cores at 2.05 GHz and two power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. All three smartphones appeared with 8 GB of RAM. However, we may see variations in terms of storage between each variant. Moreover, the 8 GB RAM may not be the only one.
The Infinix Zero X series has the Zero X Neo, Zero X Pro, and the vanilla Zero X. The display resolutions are also listed. The Pro variant and the vanilla unit come with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The Neo variant, on the other hand, has a slightly taller 2,460 x 1,080 pixels resolution. It’s evident from the renders that all the handsets will sport a punch-hole camera design on the front.
The remaining specifications of the handset are yet to be revealed. However, previous rumors have been suggesting HRR OLED displays with under-display fingerprint readers. Some of them may come with a 5,000 mAh battery and we expect at least 33 W fast-charging. After all, other Infinix devices already arrived with this fast charging.
We don’t expect any of these smartphones to come with the 160 W fast charging. The 108 MP camera is still possible. However, pairing any of these premium features in an Helio G90T smartphone seems like a mistake.
