However, there were all some nice surprises such as a new iPad model and a new refreshed iPad mini 6. We’ve been seeing rumors floating about the release of a new iPad Mini tablet for quite some time, but we had to wait until today to see if it was really coming. Apple brought the answer to all iPad mini enthusiasts with a new fresh model, boasting a new design, larger display, and a USB C port. Let’s dive into the specifications of this new tablet.
Apple iPad mini 6 (2021) specifications
So far, Apple has been sticking with the same design for its iPad mini models, however, the iPad Mini 6 is here to bring some neat changes. The company has overhauled the design with flat edges and curved corners of the screen to bring it in line with the recent iPhone models and iPad. Even the Apple Watch Series 7 now has a design market by the flatness.
The new display is larger with an 8.3-inch diagonal and Liquid Retina moniker. Interestingly, this is a slight increment over the iPad mini 7.9-inch display. Another change in design is the Home button removal. The Touch ID sensor has been moved to the power button and the device lacks Face ID. According to Apple, the new tablets are made of 100% recycled aluminum, so the new tablets are ecologically friendly.
