Redmi K50 series to use an E5 high refresh screen & 100W fast charge

The Redmi series is basically for budget smartphones. Even the flagship models in the Redmi series come with average prices. Earlier this year, Redmi officially unveiled the Redmi K40 series. As the brand’s highest-end flagship product, the series complements the shortcomings of the previous model. This series comes with the highly-rated Snapdragon 870 SoC which has been favoured by many customers. In fact, the Redmi K40 series made the K series one of the most popular products. Considering the pace set by the Redmi K40 series, consumers have been looking forward to the arrival of its successor. The successor of this smartphone is the Redmi K50 series.

Over the past few weeks, there have been multiple reports regarding the upcoming Redmi K50 series. As early as last month, it was revealed that some new models of the Redmi K50 series have been filed. Also, there were reports that the internal development of this smartphone is already underway.

Redmi K50 series to use Samsung’s E5 display

Earlier today, there were reports on the engineering model of the Redmi K50 series. According to the leak, this smartphone series will come with Samsung’s latest-generation E5 OLED high refresh rate screen. Of course, this display will significantly increase the display effect.

In addition, the Redmi K50 will also come with 100W fast charging. However, there are reports that the charging capacity could be as high as 120W. This is the first time that a Redmi model will support up to 100W fast charging. We expect this feature to further increase its experience and cost performance.

Furthermore, the leak shows that not only the top model will use the flagship specifications. This means that other lower models will also use the top-level parameters. If this is the case, then more Redmi users will have the opportunity to have flagship features for cheap.

According to previous reports, there will still be three models in the Redmi K50 series. This series will have the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+. If you look at the configuration of this leak, at least the Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+ will support the E5 high refresh rate screen + 100W fast charge.

In terms of core configuration, some time ago, it was revealed that one of the three Redmi K50 models will use the Snapdragon 888 chip. However, the others will use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC.
