Here are the hidden specs of the Apple iPhone 13 series

Two days have passed since the Apple presentation, which showed the new generation of iPhones – iPhone 13. Everything went according to the template and the company, following its own tradition, did not disclose such specs of new products as the amount of RAM and battery capacity. But it turned out that Apple withheld more information about the iPhone 13 family.

Here are the hidden specs of the Apple iPhone 13 series

It’s no secret that the Cupertino-based company does not indulge in a large amount of RAM. Small amounts of RAM are explained by a high level of optimization. Last year, the iPhone 12 was upgraded in this area. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini received 4 GB of RAM each, and in the Pro devices, this parameter was raised to 6 GB.

Apple considered that in 2021 this amount of RAM is sufficient and did not increase it: iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 – 4 GB, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – 6 GB. By the way, the top-end iPad mini 6 also got 4 GB of RAM, and the budget iPad 9 got 3 GB of RAM.

For some reason, Apple did not announce during the presentation that the Pro versions received support for three SIM-cards. The company did not increase the number of slots, here they went along the path of offering support for two eSIMs.

Another surprise was that the Apple A15 Bionic chip came in two versions. For the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, a SoC was prepared, where the graphics chip received one more core – 5 core, and not four like the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. This allowed to increase the graphics performance by 50%, while the “lower” models offer an increase in GPU power by 30%.
