Motorola Tablet To Launch In India During Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale

Motorola Tablet India (Moto Xoom)

Motorola tablet is likely to launch in India during the Big Billion Days sale, which will begin soon on Flipkart. The consumer electronics giant is gearing up to bring a new tablet into the Indian market in the next few days. While Motorola has remained mum on its plan to launch a new tablet in the country, a noted tipster has confirmed to 91mobiles, that the company is on the verge of launching an affordable tablet soon.

This would be the Lenovo-owned company’s first tablet to go official in India in several years. Motorola stopped launching tablets in the country after failing to gain success with the Motorola Xoom (Moto Tab), which was launched in 2017. While nothing is set in stone yet, the source claims that the upcoming device will be a rebranded Lenovo tablet.

New Motorola Tablet Coming To India

In collaboration with tipster Yogesh Brar, 91mobiles has hinted at an imminent launch of a new Motorola tablet in India. The tablet will reportedly hit the store shelves in the country during the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale. It is worth noting that a myriad of new products is likely to be unveiled during the Flipkart sale. However, Motorola has not revealed the exact launch date of the tablet. Likewise, the Indian retail giant is still mum on the start date of the Big Billion Days Sale.

Gizchina News of the week

Despite failing to achieve success with its previous offering, Motorola is likely to introduce a new tablet in India citing the surge in online education. The still raging coronavirus pandemic has led to a rise in online education. As a result, tablet sales have experienced a major boost in multiple markets. According to a PriceBaba report, Motorola may be planning to cash in on the rise in the tablet segment with a budget-friendly offering. The tablet could retail for under INR 20,000 (about $270), which would pit it against the Realme Pad tablet.

Specifications & Features (Expected)

According to the source, the Motorola tab could be running on stock Android out of the box. This separates it from other tablets available in the market. Furthermore, the new Moto tablet could be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab M10, running stock Android and carrying an affordable price tag. Last month, a new tablet dubbed Lenovo moto tab g20 passed through the Google Play Console. The listing revealed some key specifications of the tablet.

Moto Tab G20 Google Play Console listing

The listing hinted at an HD+ resolution (1,200 x 800 pixels). It revealed that the tablet will pack an Helio P22T chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. Aside from that, the listing suggested that the device will run Android 11 OS. The Google Play Console listing included a render of the tablet that showed thick bezels. If the aforesaid specs are anything to go by, the new Moto Tab G20 could be a rebranded Lenovo Tab M8 (3rd Gen) that debuted in the global markets earlier this year.
