After months of speculations, the Oppo A16 smartphone has hit the store shelves in India with an affordable price tag and decent specifications. The recently unveiled budget smartphone is the latest offering from the BBK-owned smartphone brand. The smartphone features an eye-catching waterdrop display and houses a triple rear camera setup, including an AI-enabled camera.
Last month, Oppo launched another phone in the A-series, dubbed the A16s in the Netherlands for €149. Earlier reports suggested that the company is gearing up to launch the A16 in India in September this year. The Chinese consumer electronics company did not divulge a lot of details about the A16 ahead of its launch. However, noted tipsters shared vital information about the handset in the form of some official leaks.

In September, Oppo launched the A16 in India. The phone is currently available in offline retail stores in the country. Aside from that, it is set to go on sale via Amazon today. The A16 will set you back INR 13,990 (about $190) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant. Furthermore, the phone will be available in Pearl Blue and Crystal Black color options. You can head straight to Amazon India, or your nearest offline retail store to get your hands on the new Oppo smartphone. The phone has already been launched in Indonesia.

Moreover, the phone packs an Helio G35 chipset under the hood. It ships with 4GB of RAM and offers 64GB of onboard storage capacity. You can expand the built-in storage via a microSD card slot. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the side-mounted power button. The phone has a 13MP main camera, along with a 2MP mono lens and a 2MP macro lens.
