Oppo is gearing up to introduce a new 4G smartphone in the market, and it’s just a matter of time now. The device will carry the Oppo A55 4G moniker and has emerged through multiple certifications. Interestingly, one Oppo A55 device was launched earlier this year in China, but that was the 5G variant. Now, the 4G variant is coming and it has been spotted on the NCC Taiwan certification website. The listing confirms some of the key specifications and also discloses the device’s design in all its glory.
Oppo A55 4G leaked details
Both the live images and the specifications of the Oppo A55 4G have been revealed by the NCC website. The listing reveals that the handset has a triple-camera setup on the back. It will pack a 50 MP main camera, and the two other sensors’ purpose is still unknown. However, we believe these sensors will pretty much stand for macro and depth sensing. The device also has an LED flash module inside the rectangular camera cutout.

As usual in modern smartphones, there is a punch-hole cutout for the camera. It sits in the top-left corner of the display. Unfortunately, the display itself hadn’t its specs revealed by the listing. We can expect it to pack a 6.5-inch IPS LCD putting it aside from the 5G variant. The bottom part of the handset serves as a home for the USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The right edge houses a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The left edge serves as a home for the volume rocker.
The Oppo A55 4G will pack a 4,980 mAh, but that might be the rated capacity. The photo reveals the typical capacity reaches 5,000 mAh and that is the amount considered for marketing purposes. To make things more enjoyable, there’s even 18W fast-charging support. Which puts beyond other mid-range devices in the market for certain mainstream companies.
Unfortunately, there are still no details regarding the processor inside the new handset. The fact that it bears only 4G limits the possibilities a little, maybe it will stick with a MediaTek Helio G-chipset, but that’s is yet to be confirmed. The display size and RAM / Storage details are also unknown. However, we can expect the device to have at least 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. Everything will depend on the pricing segment Oppo is targeting with this device.
Considering the amount of information leaking, and the certification process, the device may be inching closer to a release.
