It seems that there are certain issues with Samsung’s most popular and hotly selling products in India. According to certain comments via Samsung’s forums, the Samsung Galaxy A and M series of devices are undergoing a supposed auto restart issue.
The smartphone is freezing up and restarting without any specific reason, with no fix in sight. The problem has already affected users using the Samsung Galaxy M30s, Galaxy M31, Galaxy M31s, Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A50 and the Samsung Galaxy A51, at least in India.
As of now, it is not known as to whether the devices that are facing this issue are specific in number or a certain batch has some fault causing this peculiar issue.
What is This New Issue Affecting Samsung Handsets?
One user mentions on Samsung’s official forums, “Really frustrated with this issue. I am Facing this Hanging and Restarting issue for 1 month and still facing this issue,”
“If I visit the centre, they will advise me to change motherboard which will cost around 8500 including tax and service charges,” the post adds. The user has also shared multiple other posts which cite the same issue, with the models listed also coming due to this specific user.
Gizchina News of the week
Another user mentioned on September 9, “Hi Guys, I am using Samsung a50, I updated to the latest patch today, after that my mobile is getting restarting automatically. Today itself my mobile restarted 20 times, if anyone faced these issues please help me,” Furthermore, a user mentions issues on the Samsung 21, which we think could be the Samsung Galaxy S21.
The issue being present on the A series and M series is not good news for Samsung, since there are millions of devices out there and if this issue is a widespread one, it could spell some trouble for the South Korean smartphone manufacturer.
What Else is the Company Working On?
In other Samsung news, In early September, Samsung Electronics introduced the ISOCELL HP1 image sensor, the world’s first 200MP sensor for smartphone cameras. Now the South Korean giant has shared details on the characteristics of this product.
The sensor uses 0.64 µm pixels. It comes with a new hybrid 4 × 4 pixel binning technology. This means that the sensor is capable of adjusting pixel binning modes to suit shooting conditions using sophisticated deep learning software reallocation algorithms.
In addition, the product allows you to record high-definition video in 8K format with minimal loss in the field of view. Four pixels are binned to create one large 1.28-micron pixel, allowing you to shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second and 4K video in slow motion at 120 frames per second.
