Microsoft has taken the wraps off the much-awaited Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3 with improved hardware specifications. On September 22, the tech behemoth held an online event to unveil the radically overhauled Surface-branded laptops and tablets. The company announced a myriad of portable computing devices during the recently concluded Surface 2021 event.
Among others, Microsoft announced the much-awaited Surface Pro 8 and the equally anticipated Surface Go 3 at the event. The upgraded Surface Pro 8 boasts an array of impressive hardware specifications. For instance, it comes with an Intel 11th gen chipset. Aside from that, the device now features the Slim Pen 2 that complements its improved design. Aside from that, the company launched the Surface Go 3 with 10th gen Intel chips under the hood. It reportedly delivers 60 percent faster performance.
Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3 Price & Availability
The Surface Pro 8 2-in-1 Laptop will set you back a whopping $1099.99 (about INR 81,203) for the 8GB RAM+128GB ROM variant, according to a report from Latestly. This model comes with an Intel Core i5 processor. Moreover, the 32GB RAM+1TB ROM model with Intel Core i7 processor carries a steeper price tag of $2,599.99, which converts roughly to about INR 1,91,935.
The Microsoft Surface Go 3 running Windows 11 OS will go on sale from October 5 with a starting price of $399. However, the Surface Pro 8 is already available for pre-order in the United States at a starting price of $1,100. It is worth mentioning here that the tablet does not come with a keyboard and pen. You’d need to purchase them separately.

The Surface Pro 8 sports a 13-inch PixelSense display that offers a high resolution of 2,880×1,920 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Furthermore, the panel supports Adaptive Color Technology and Dolby Vision. You can adjust the built-in kickstand from different angles. The kickstand can store the new Slim Pen 2. The pen offers tiny mechanical vibrations that give a similar experience as writing on paper.
Furthermore, the device runs on Windows 11 OS and packs 11th Gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors. It ships with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB NVMe SSD storage. Moreover, the device houses a 10MP camera at the back with 4K video recording support. Upfront, there is a 5MP lens that is capable of recording videos up to 1080 pixels resolution. The USB A port has been replaced with the new Thunderbolt 4.

The Surface Go 3 comes either with Intel Core i3-10100Y or the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor. It ships with 8GB of RAM and offers 128GB of onboard storage. On top of that, the device can offer a battery life of up to 10 hours on a single charge. It features a 10.5-inch PixelSense display that supports a 3: 2 aspect ratio, 220 PPI, 10-point multi-touch. It offers a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels.
In terms of optics, the Surface Go 3 features an 8MP camera that can record Full HD videos. Aside from that, it comes with a 5MP front shooter. The Surface Go 3 runs Windows 11 OS and supports Windows Hello facial recognition. For connectivity, the device has a MicroSD slot, a 3.5-millimeter jack, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and WLAN AX.
