After many rumors, leaks, and official teasers, the Realme GT Neo2 is finally here. The new contender for the GT series has been introduced in China as a cost-effective offering boasting innovative specs and Snapdragon 870 SoC. Realme was previously rumored to launch the Realme GT Neo2 in India later this year. It was a surprise, after all, the Realme GT Neo didn’t appear in China with its official name. Instead, Realme introduced the device with Realme X7 Max 5G moniker. Now, it’s a bit of surprise to see that the Realme GT Neo2 will come to the market.
Today, Realme’s India CEO, Madhav Sheth, teased the launch of the Realme GT Neo2. The executive on Twitter asked users if and when they would want to see the company launch the new GT series smartphone. According to rumors, the device will be introduced in two storage configurations.

Realme’s CEO took to Twitter to confirm the launch of the smartphone. Although the executive has not explicitly revealed the exact launch date of the GT Neo2 in Inda, the poll already give us a good shot. The poll options suggest that the phone could launch sometime in October as there are two options for October. Users can opt for “Early October” or “End October”, November and December. As expected the early October option is winning suggesting that the big majority of Realme fans on Twitter want to see the device soon. For now, there is no reason to hold our breath. We expect to see Realme confirming the launch in the coming weeks.
Realme GT Neo2 specifications
To recall, the Realme GT Neo boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. Furthermore, it comes with a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.
In terms of optics, the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 64 MP snapper, and there is also an 8 MP ultrawide module for “groupies”. Finally, we have a 2 MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the device packs a 16 MP camera setup. You’ll notice some similarities with other Realme smartphones as this has been pretty much the standard triple camera combo in the GT series.
The Realme GT Neo2 is the GT-series smartphone with the largest battery. The device has a 5,000 mAh battery that charges with the fast 65W charging. The device runs Android 11 straight out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 on top.
