Oppo has confirmed the launch date of the K9 Pro in China via a post on the microblogging website Weibo. The company shared a poster that shows the phone’s rear camera setup and its design. The K9 Pro will house three rear-mounted cameras including a 64MP main camera. Furthermore, the phone’s China Telecom listing revealed that it will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and use a 4,500mAh battery. The K9 Pro will go official in China on September 26.

The launch event will take place at 5 pm local time, according to the teaser image posted to the company’s Weibo account. Aside from that, the poster implies that the K9 Pro will come in a metal frame that will house a powerful MediaTek chip. The China Telecom listing also revealed the phone’s model number as PEYM00. The listing claimed that the phone will have a 64MP main camera, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 2MP tertiary lens at the back.
Furthermore, the listing suggests that the dual-SIM phone will run Android 11 OS. The K9 Pro is likely to come with a 6.43-inch display with full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution. It could ship with 12GB of RAM and offer up to 256GB of built-in storage. Upfront, the K9 Pro is likely to house a 16MP front shooter. For connectivity, it offers a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

As per the phone’s listing, the 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM K9 Pro model could retail for CNY 2,399. The slightly larger variant that ships with 8GB of RAM and offers 256GB of onboard storage will set you back CNY 2,599. The highest-end model that comes with 12GB and 256GB of native storage carries a steeper price tag of CNY 2,899. More details will be revealed during the upcoming launch event.
