Since the introduction of the notch design with the iPhone X back in 2017, Apple iPhone series designs have been pretty much the same. The company make some changes in the rear camera module from time to time. However, this is about the only design changes that the iPhones bring. However, if the latest report is anything to go by, then we may see significant changes in the Apple iPhone 14 series design.
According to popular Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, the new generation iPhones will usher in design changes. He claims that the iPhone 14 series design will be different. The report shows that the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will be a completely “redesigned product”. The fine-tuning of the iPhone 13 this year means that Apple engineers are working on the iPhone 14 series. This means that the company has more time to complete more designs for the new models.
This is not the first time that we will be getting a report of Apple making a comprehensive design change to the iPhone 14 series. For example, @jon_prosser have previously stated that Apple will abandon the notch design in 2022. The reports so far claims that Apple will use the punch-hole design in the iPhone 14 series.
Furthermore, Jon Prosser claims that the engineering model of the iPhone 14 Pro Max does not have a notch. However, this flagship smartphone has holes. Furthermore, Apple will not have a mini model next year. Instead, the company will have a new “Max” model. Thus, the Apple iPhone 14 series will include the regular iPhone, Max, Pro, and Pro Max versions.

Although Apple is working on the Touch ID feature, it is not clear when this technology will be ready. As of now, there is no indication that it will be ready in time for the iPhone 14 series.
Apple iPhone 14 specifications
As of now, there is not much information about the iPhone 14 series. However, there is a leak of the alleged specs sheet of the entire series. This is the first information for this series and we can not authenticate the report for now.
The report shows that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will use a 6.06-inch screen. However, the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with a larger 6.68 inches display. In addition, the two basic versions of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use LTPS displays. However, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with LTPO screens. From this point of view, it appears that the iPhone 14 Max has a lower positioning than the iPhone 14 Pro.
In terms of core configuration, the iPhone 14 series will come with a new Bionic A16 processor. This chip is built with a 4nm manufacturing process. Except for the basic version of the iPhone 14 which still uses a dual rear camera setup, the other three models all come with a triple rear camera setup. At the same time, the main camera of the two high-profile models will be upgraded. We expect a 1/1.3-inch 48MP sensor, and there are reports that the new 48MP camera may be used for an ultra-wide lens.
