The OnePlus Nord 2 isn’t having a very smooth performance in the Indian market. Well, the recently released smartphone has been the target of complaints since the very first weeks. Shortly after its release, a user reported that its unit went on fire all of sudden. This first case was considered a false alarm by the company as the user failed to give further proof. Then, another case emerged. Recently, the third case came from an Indian lawyer alleging that the Nord 2 exploded in his pocket. OnePlus sent him a cease and desist letter claiming that he declined to cooperate with the company in the investigation. Now, another story has emerged.
OnePlus Nord 2 Warp Charger explodes while in use
According to a fresh report, a OnePlus Nord 2 Warp Charger has exploded after it was plugged into a socket and left to charge the smartphone. The incident reportedly happened in the city of Kerala and was shared by the victim Jimmy Jose (@The Glitchhhh). The incident seems to have happened during a rainstorm and resulted in the damage of the charger and also the socket. Thankfully, the smartphone is still safe and hadn’t been damaged. Also, it didn’t harm the user.
The post quickly drew the attention of the OnePlus Support team. The team directed the owner to visit a customer care center. At the care center, the technicians examined the charger and concluded. According to them, the explosion occurred as a direct result of voltage fluctuation. The company also offered a replacement for the user.
