After a long time of waiting, Vivo is bringing its X70 series is finally official in India. However, the family is lacking its vanilla entry as only the Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ are reaching the Asian country. For now, there is no word on whether the entry-level flagship will make its way to India. However, we assume this won’t happen as the Vivo X70 Pro has basically the same set of specifications. Interestingly, the Vivo X70 Pro+ arrives as the very first smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC in the country.
Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ specifications
The Vivo X70 Pro+ is the top-of-the-line smartphone here. It comes with a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED E5 display with a 120 Hz refresh rate support. The device also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The device has a center-aligned punch-hole for the 32 MP selfie camera. The Vivo X70 Pro has a smaller 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The device carries the Dimensity 1200 SoC instead of the Exynos 1080 of the Chinese variant. It has up to 12 GB of RAM.
The Vivo X70 Pro+ comes with a Zeiss-tuned Quad-Camera setup. It comprises a 50 MP Samsung GN1 1/1.3 sensor. There is also a 48 MP ultrawide camera, an 8 MP periscope camera, and a 12 MP portrait camera with 5x optical and 60x digital zoom. All four camera sensors have OIS or Gimbal Stabilization. The Vivo X70 Pro+ also has a 360-degree horizontal line stabilization. The camera performance is further enchanted with Vivo’s custom-developed V1 chip.

Under the hood, the Pro Plus variant has the Snapdragon 888+ SoC, up to 12 GB of RAM, And 256 GB of Internal Storage. It draws powers from a 4,500 mAh battery with 55W fast-charging and 50 Wireless charging. The Pro Plus also carries Stereo Speakers for an immersive audio experience.
Going back to the Pro, it has a quad-camera setup. It lacks Vivo’s custom-developed V1 chip but brings a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP portrait lens, a 12 MP ultrawide sensors, and an 8 MP telephoto camera sensor. The module has a 32 MP front camera inside the punch-hole cutout. The vanilla Pro has a 4450 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. This variant, however, lacks wireless charging.
Both handsets run Android 11 OS straight out of the box with Funtouch OS 12 running on top.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo has launched the X70 Pro and Pro+ in India with up to 12 GB of RAM. The Vivo X70 Pro comes in three storage configurations with the base model having 8 GB of RAM. The 8 GB + 128 GB variant costs around INR 46,990, and the top variant goes all the way up to INR 52,990.
The X70 Pro+ comes in a single variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage. It is available in the Enigma Black colorway and costs INR 79,990. The phones go on sale starting October 7 via Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo e-store along with leading offline retailers.
