It seems that Apple is in a festive mood since the Cupertino-based giant has announced that it will offer free AirPods earbuds to customers who purchase either of its two specified smartphones during this festive offer.
The offer is valid for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini in India, with Apple offering free AirPods from October 7 to November 4 of 2021 to customers who purchase either of the two devices. Do note that this promotion will run till stocks last, so if you intend to get in on this offer, don’t delay it.
Apple to Give Away Free AirPods to Customers Buying the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini!
Apple has not revealed the generation of the AirPods it is offering for free if a customer purchases the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Mini, but, taking a closer look at the promotional material reveals that these truly wireless earbuds are the standard AirPods and not the AirPods Pro.
It is unclear as to whether these AirPods will be 1st gen models or 2nd gen models, since the two look the same but differ when it comes to internals and specifications.

For those curious, the 2nd-generation AirPods were introduced in 2019 with Apple’s H1 chip and improved connectivity touted as the biggest selling point. Siri-voice assistant support is also present on the earbuds.
Apple claims that the AirPods 2nd gen last for 5 hours of talk time and 24 hours as a whole with the charging case. The AirPods are available in two variants, wireless charging and non-wireless charging, with the former available for Rs 14,900, while the latter retails for Rs 18,900.
What About the iPhone 12?
In other news, Apple has recently slashed the prices of its iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini permanently, given the launch of the iPhone 13 series, which consists of the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 12 Mini is now available for Rs 59,900 when it comes to the base variant with 64GB of storage, while the 128GB and 256GB variants are available for Rs 64,900 and Rs 74,900, respectively.
In contrast, the iPhone 12, which is the bigger cousin to the iPhone 12 Mini is on offer for Rs 65,900, Rs 70,900 and Rs 80,900 for the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants, respectively.
Both of these devices offer dual 12MP rear shooters with a 12MP front shooter and make use of the A14 Bionic SoC. They also come with OLED displays with a rather boxy design, something that Apple has committed to in recent months.
