OnePlus 9RT design renders have surfaced online ahead of the smartphone’s rumored to launch later this month. OnePlus fans have been waiting with bated breath to get their hands on the company’s new smartphone dubbed the OnePlus 9RT. Regrettably, there was no official confirmation from the company until OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared a post on Weibo, suggesting that they need a name change.
The Weibo post reportedly hinted at the OnePlus 9RT’s imminent launch. The smartphone has been subject to multiple leaks lately. Earlier this month, leaker Digital Chat Station claimed that the 9RT will pack a Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. Aside from that, the tipster suggests that the phone’s Chinese variant could run Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12 on top. Now, another noted tipster Evan Blass has shared OnePlus 9RT renders on Twitter.

Gizchina News of the week
The power button and the alert slider appear to be placed on the right edge. The left edge seems to house the volume rockers. In other words, the phone appears to bear a striking resemblance to the OnePlus 9R. The rear-mounted camera module houses three big lenses. The camera module mentions that it has a 50MP main camera. So, there is a possibility that the other two lenses are a wide-angle lens and a macro lens. Furthermore, the primary lens is likely to be a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. These camera specifications corroborate earlier leaks.
Specifications & Price (Expected)
As mentioned earlier, the OnePlus 9RT has been floating around the rumor mill for a long time. Previously surfaced reports suggest that the phone will sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that will offer a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone will draw its juices from a 4,500mAh battery that comes with 65W fast charging support. Moreover, the handset will pack a Snapdragon 888 chipset under the hood.
The word on the street is that the 9RT will ship with up to 12GB of RAM. Furthermore, the phone could come in three color options including Blue Sky, Hacker Silver, and Dark Matter. Also, the OnePlus 9RT is tipped to run Android 12 OS with Oxygen OS 12 on top. However, the Chinese variant could run ColorOS 12, instead. Regrettably, the phone’s launch date in India is still a mystery.
However, a tipster suggests that the 9RT will retail for either CNY 2,000 or CNY 3,000. This converts roughly to about INR 23,200 and INR 34,800, respectively. Considering that the 9RT is likely to boast top-end specs and features such as superfast charging, a flagship chipset, and a 50MP main camera, it will probably sell for around INR 30,000 in the country.
