Back in May, Xiaomi officially released the Redmi Note 10 series which has both Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. These smartphones are doing quite well in the market and the company is now looking forward. Over the past few days, there have been a few reports regarding the Note 10 successor, Redmi Note 11 series. The latest report on this new upcoming series is from the popular Chinese leakster, @DCS. According to him, the next Redmi Note series will support high configuration and will come with 120W fast charging. Furthermore, his Weibo post also claims that this series may use the Snapdragon 778G processor as well as a 144Hz screen.
Previously, the blogger stated that Xiaomi has taken the lead in fast charging technology. This year, it has launched the out-of-print 100W wireless charging and 120W ultra-large battery wired charging. The interesting part of this is that Xiaomi will release this technology for cheap. The Redmi Note series will maintain the “affordable” mantra of the Redmi brand. In addition, Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone next year will also use a new charging head (MDY-13-E). This charging head will nominally be the 120W charging head but will be smaller.
Gizchina News of the week
At present, the Redmi Note series has been updated to the 10th generation product. Also, the Redmi Note 10 Pro supports 67W fast charging. According to Redmi’s naming rules, the next-generation Redmi Note series should be Redmi Note 11. Not surprisingly, Redmi will also launch a standard version and a high-end version, and the high-end version may be the Redmi Note 11 Pro.
Of course, it is also possible that only the Redmi Note 11 Pro will use the 120W fast charging technology. However, if this charging technology comes to the Note series, it will be by far the fastest charging technology on the Redmi Note series. As of now, only a handful of Xiaomi flagships support the 120W fast charging. We have the likes of Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, Mi 11 series, Mi 10 Ultra, etc. Considering that the Redmi Note series will not cost above $350, this is quite attractive.
Unfortunately, the release time of the new Redmi Note series is still uncertain. Whether or not this series will launch this year remains to be seen. However, we will keep our fingers crossed and see what this Redmi flagship will eventually offer. Keep a tab with us and we will let you know as events unfold regarding this new Redmi Note series.
