Motorola Moto E40 Goes Official In India, See Specs & Price

After months of speculations, the Moto E40 smartphone has finally gone official in India with decent specs and a reasonable price tag. Motorola unveiled its budget smartphone in international markets earlier this month. In India, the handset will find its place in the smartphone under INR 10,000 category. The latest offering from the Lenovo-owned company will compete with the likes of the Moto G30, Redmi 10 Prime, and the Narzo 50A smartphones.

Earlier this month, Motorola announced that it will be launching the Moto E40 in India on October 12 at 12 PM IST. Aside from that, a teaser page for the E40 went live on Flipkart. Aside from the price and availability details, the teaser page shed light on the phone’s specifications. The E40 packs an Unisoc processor under the hood and is backed by a robust battery. As mentioned earlier, it will go on sale via Flipkart.

A single storage configuration of Motorola’s Moto E40 smartphone will be available in India. The phone ships with 4GB of RAM and offers 64GB of onboard storage capacity. Furthermore, it will set you back INR 9,499. You can choose between two highly appealing color options including, Pink Clay and Carbon Gray. Moreover, the budget smartphone is slated to go on sale starting from October 17 through Flipkart.

The Moto E40 features a mammoth 6.5-inch IPS LCD that delivers an HD+ resolution. The screen has thin bezels on three sides, while the bezel on the chin is slightly thick. The top center of the display houses a hole punch cut out to accommodate the front shooter. Aside from that, the screen supports a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone packs a powerful Unisoc T700 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM.

Moreover, the E40 offers 64GB of built-in storage capacity, which can be extended up to 512GB using a microSD card. A 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging powers up the entire system. The bottom edge houses a USB Type-C port. According to the company, the battery can last for up to two days on a single charge. The phone houses a triple rear camera setup.

The rear-mounted camera module includes a 48MP main camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, the phone houses an 8MP selfie camera. Regrettably, the phone does not come with an ultrawide sensor. Moreover, it runs Android 11 OS with MyUX on top. The fingerprint scanner and face unlock are available on the back. The right edge has a button to summon Google Assistant. The phone is 9.1mm thick and weighs 198 grams.
